Web Marketing Association Names Best TV Web Site Following 2006 WebAward Competition

West Simsbury, CT (PRWeb) December 22, 2006 -- www.webaward.org - The Web Marketing Association is pleased to announce the Best TV Web Site Winner as part of the 10th annual international WebAward Competition, the Internet's premier website award competition.

"The television industry is very competitive when it comes to Web development and can benefit greatly from making themselves available online," said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. "Consumers no longer want to be restrained physically by where the TV resides in their home. Placing show information, re-runs and games online gives consumers a way to enjoy television far beyond the living room."

Each website is judged on the same seven criteria including:
•    Design
•    Innovation
•    Content
•    Technology
•    Interactivity
•    Copy writing
•    Ease of use

The overarching goal of the WebAward Competition is to provide a forum to recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing the most effective TV websites on the Net today.
