Knoxville, TN (PRWEB) January 29, 2006 -- 35 year old Todd Lamson father of 3 children wants to help secure his children’s and communities children’s education facilities future by raising the funds necessary to complete the new Hardin Valley High School as originally planned. The cuts had to be made due to Hurricane Katrina's effect on building costs.
Lamson launched 1millionbusinesscards after thinking of ideas as to how to raise the funds for the school. Todd has been an online print broker for a couple of years and primarily does print orders for business cards online with an another web site. “I thought it would be a neat idea to have 1 million business cards that represented 1 million businesses and individuals for the purpose of finding services and products near and far from your location. Business cards are great tool since they can be used as a miniature advertising version of your complete business. This just makes your business card more valuable since it will be presented on the web in a searchable online directory.” Listing your business card in the directory is free. The donations are voluntary in exchange for the listing. Todd anticipates that the site directory will attract small to medium size businesses that need an online presence or additional online presence. You can make a donation without a directory listing as well.
Once you have submitted your business card via image uploading, you will get a picture of your business card posted on a page related to your industry which will link to your own web site if applicable. It will also include a directory listing next to the card. The listing can be edited at any time in order to keep the card up to date. The listing will also include a location under the card for print company sponsors who have elected to link to the site and are sending their users over to place a listing. The site also incorporates the ability to search that will allow users to find services and products down to their specific geographical zip code area. Future plans include a PDA interface and a business rating system that will be displayed with the card.
