Make your own website

The Internet is the new real estate market. These days, everyone needs or wants a website, whether they want a place to blog, to post pictures for friends and family, to make money online, or to work from home, it doesn't matter.

Here, we'll talk about how you can make your own website. The process is four simple steps. If this ends up being complicated, and you want a more automated way of getting a website, check out my free work from home guide. I describe how you can get a package that does all of this for you, plus a ton more.

Also, feel free to copy and paste this article onto your computer so you can keep it as a reference guide. I'm not picky about copyrights.

1. Brainstorm

Think about what you want your website to say. What will it be about? These days, almost anything can be a website.

2. Name

What is your website going to be called? Decide what you want people to think of, in one word or phrase, that describes your website. That's a fantastic starting point. This can be your personal name, a few words describing your goal in your website, or anything else. If you are trying to make money and want a lot of traffic, make sure you have some of your topic keywords in the name.

3. Storage

You need a place to store your website. Unless you are super geeky, you'll need someone else to "host" the website for you. I use IX Webhosting for all of my sites because of the cheap price and 24-7 customer support.

4. Website Design

I use wordpress for most of my websites as a CMS or a "Content Management System". That's a special way of saying "a program that ... makes things easy". Basically, in three clicks of a button, I can make my entire website look totally different. No coding necessary. Go to wordpress.org for more information.

If that doesn't meet your needs, you can hire a freelance web designer. Just google "website design" and you'll have literally millions of people you can get to do that.

Or, if you want a simpler version than all of that, just scroll back up to the top of this article and click the link that goes to the work from home guide. The program mentioned there takes care of all of that for you as well.

Remember to save this article for future reference. Good luck in your website building!

Cost Effective and Powerful Dynamic Websites w. Fantastico Web Hosting
If you are developing your website on a host that charges less that $5 a month, make plenty of backups as you are likely to loose your website files when the webhost goes out of business without notice. Indeed, be extremely wary of any such host.
